They're still eating......

I keep watching the caterpillars on our butterfly bush...... and they're still eating away and growing quite large.

When will the cocoon stage begin?

I'm in awe of this process of transformation.

honestly, when I picture aliens they look much more like caterpillars (and other bugs) than humanoids ... the way they move, their tiny little unusual faces, their amazing colors ... pretty much everything about them is alien ... and then they turn into something even MORE amazing. Thanks for sharing the updates ... can't wait for cocoon pictures!

It warms my heart to know that there are more of us that can "see" the beauty around them in the smallest of details. I have had an enormous fascination and deep spiritual admiration of these small winged creatures for many years now. I am inspired by them always.
I am so happy to hear that your prince is healing inside and out. I know what its like to face those deep fears and I am glad you found your inner strength to guide you through it. You are both very blessed. I wish you and your family the very best.

Hugs and blessings,
Rosanna

Marilyn, you really do live in a paradise! So much of nature's beauty and awe surrounds you. I know this, plus your beautiful presence has to be such a healthy environment for Gary's recovery.

Beautiful pics of these
monarch caterpillars.

These photos are soooo beautiful. I love the colors of the caterpillar against the green. Paradise, yep, you live in paradise.

You'll get used to how plump (ripe) they look after you've gone through a few batches. But when you see them attaching themselves to a leaf, windowsill, etc. and dropping into a J, keep a close eye on them or you will miss them shedding their final skin to reveal their chrysalis. It's absolutely amazing. It will blow your mind away. You won't believe the metallic gold spots that appear on them either.

Good luck,
Heather :)
