From yuck to pink inspiration....

Well, I had this inspiration to cover my mushroom with a mosaic of oyster shells.
Frankly, it turned out awful!  A mess of white lumps in lumpy grey concrete. Oh dear!
Then I looked up....and saw my beautiful hydrangeas, and inspiration lifted me up again.
I should make pink hydrangeas out of apoxie clay and cover the oysters shells on the mushroom.  Yes!  So I started yesterday and I think it will look great!  Can you imagine it?
Pink puffs all over the top of the mushroom is what I see.

However.......I now have to face making about 50 of these flowers.  Oh, the journeys that inspiration takes us on can be daunting!!   When will I find the time, and how much time is this project going to take!  But ...there's no alternative...it's either yuck or pink hydrandeas for me.

Where have I been...?

My trip "off to see the wizard" has turned into a journey.  I have begun my study of energy healing and have my certificate in level one of Matrix Energetics and Level One, Two and Three of Reiki.

I am loving this!  I have my loft set up to give energy work and they say that when you give Reiki, you get Reiki....which means that the more I work with the energy of Reiki and Matrix, the clearer my energy field becomes which is like tuning up a car so that it runs perfectly smoothly and fast.

Like when I entered the artdoll world, the more I learn, the more I discover there is to learn and I am enjoying the challenge and the discovery.

And new inspirations and visions have come to me to create....I am over-flowing.....and it's all so very good.

Geocaching....!

Have you heard of Geocaching?  I had never heard of it ....until last weekend.  It is so fun and evidently has been around for years now.  It basically is treasure hunting with the use of a GPS.
There are treasures hidden all over the country and using clues given we found 4 different ones.  When you find the box, you can take one item, sign the guest book, and then leave a treasure.
Treasures are anything from kid's toys to...I've heard....money or keys to a car!
There are over 800,000 people doing this!  Amazing!
Check out their website for more information: Geocaching
Really fun!!

Glass Beach

Well, this is an amazing place!  The city dump once stood here and the practice would be to dump the trash, and burn it...for years and years....until the 1960s.  At that time they closed the dump and the bottles and glass left here have been polished by the waves and sand and by master artist, Nature.  Today there isn't any sand...only small pebbles and lots of polished magic sea glass.   Most amazing were the formations that I thought were rock, but upon closer look I could see that they were hunks of melted metals, glass and pottery.  I felt I was in the middle of my own Pirates of the Carribean treasure chest!
Yep.....I had to bring some home with me.

I wanted to add a post script to this post on the sea glass.  First let me tell those who have asked, it is located in the town of Fort Bragg, California.  That's about 4 hours north of San Franciso.
Now...about all that sea glass......and what I learned from this experience.
The joy is in the hunt....the dream....the "what if I find....."
When all around was sea glass, right there for the grabbing....I just had to sit down, marvel at it, run my hands through it, start picking pieces here and there...then started shoveling with my hands...and then I stopped.
The joy of hunting sea glass lies in the possibility, moment by moment.
Walking, eyes down, scanning...thoughts running through my mind with no attention paid to them.....focused, intently focused.....yet completely open....the space of allowing magic to show up.   Sea glass hunting is a meditative state.
Finding oneself on a beach made of sea glass was a marvel, but it was not the experience of long walks on deserted beaches, coming home with a small handful of treasured pieces.
So for all of you who think this was heaven....it wasn't...but it was a whole lot of fun!

Glass Beach adventure

I'm off to an adventure a couple of hours away near Mendocino, Calif.  There is a beach near there...I am told ( but I've not been there yet ) where there used to be an old bottle factory.
It since burned down and all the glass bottle and other trash has been tumbled by the sea and made into treasure.  Oh boy!!!!    I'll take pictures and think of you!  Will be off line until Sunday nite.  Look for photos by Monday.  Bye.....

Matrix....

As much as I want to share my experience this weekend, I find myself at a loss for words.
It was odd, interesting, mind blowing, confusing, exhausting, very fun and transformational.
This is a healing and transformational system that is based in quantum physics.
If you are interested in learning more, click here:  http://www.matrixenergetics.com/WhatIs.aspx
Now I'm off to work on my mushroom mosaic in hopes of grounding myself back into this reality.....or not. :)
