Have you read.......

"Twilight"?

I've just finished the first book and am well into the second one.
Little bubbles of inspiration are rising within me.

Hmmm.......could I sculpt and paint and create a beautiful vampire?  I find myself thinking a lot about this....what would she look like....could I get that wonderful edgy-ness to the piece.

Well....I'm going to try and I'm more inspired than I've been in years.

oh - what a wonderful idea! I've always thought that vampires would be fragile and beautiful, even if they are strong and tragic.

can't wait to see yours!

Marilyn, I just finished listening to the first book on my iPod today. If you haven't seen it, the movie is excellent too. I'm hooked! And, I can see what you mean about it being inspiring too. For me, it sort of awakens that little voice inside that sees and hears so much more than what I say or live by! I'm looking forward to seeing your creations!

I am so glad you are reading these. I devoured all four over the Christmas Holiday and was absolutely hooked. Can't wait until you are well into them. I thought of you when I was reading and actually said out loud- WOW Marilyn would LOVE these. Can't wait to see how she turns out. I see a series in the making!!

The Twilight series is fabulous and yes, I was inspired as I read them too.

Marilyn, I can't wait to see what you will do with this!

After you are finished reading the Twilight books, read Meyers first
book for adults, "The Host", it is incredible.

HI, Marilyn!
I have read the series and they are just fabulous. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I always swear that my little Brookie is a vampire with her pale white skin, blonde hair, blue eyes and DARK ruby red lips.....
I hope your hubby is feeling better every day. Trish

Hi Marilyn,

I just got home from my "heart" journey yesterday and am catching up on blogs this morning. I was anxious to get to yours and see how your Prince is doing. You wrote about it all so eloquently and put into words I could not find to describe the experience. It is a journey not many would understand fully unless they had experienced the same. I am aware that there is a big difference between going through this with my 80 year old dad and you going through it with your husband - husbands and dads are not the same and have their own places in our hearts and this happening to one of them makes more sense to most of us than the other. So, know that I have only had a taste of the roller coaster you have been on and I admire your strength and grace and gratitude through it all. I am certain there is much more to be written in your fairy tale with your Prince and he will recover fully with your love and faith and beautiful perspective. Be sure to take care of you too - I am just now realizing what I've been through, what we've been through and the toll it has taken. But, I am so thankful all is going well for both of us and the important men in our lives. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

Hi Marilyn
I found you during OWOH and fell in love with your creations, the Angels are beyond words-they hold a special place in my heart. The pics you posted for your vampire seem right on target. I am so intrugued with your process, what is it that you sculpt with? The photos almost looks like wax?
I am so glad to hear your husband is doing well, life is so fragile.
Namaste
Diane

Yes, we are addicted too to the Twilight series, and it inspired a Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD party!
Love this sculpt.
