What kind of animal do you think this is???

I found this wonderful skull the other day.
It's small as you can see it fits in my hand.
I LOVE skulls. I'm not sure why...but to me they are such great works of art.
I don't know what kind of animal this is....
Is it a head...or maybe it's a foot???
The teeth or claws, though go straight out.
And there is that empty space where two more claws or teeth go....
It's a mystery to me.
Do you know this animal????

Could it be a beaver? Just a guess!!

I can see why you would guess that...but there aren't any beavers in Hawaii. No snakes either. :)

What an interesting little skull. My first thought was 'walrus' LOL
(too small and don't think you have walrus' in Hawaii do you?)

Honestly Marilyn if you ever find out what this is a skull of, please let us know.

Hugs,

Sue

weasel?

I"ve seen weasel bones for sale, and they kinda look like that, as I recall.

I looked up Weasel skull and the teeth curve down, so nope, it's not a weasel.
So now I'm thinking that it may be a foot and those are claws because teeth seem to always curve downwards.
Picture two more "claws" coming out of the middle holes. Could be....
But now the question is...what kind of foot would it be??? It it's a foot.....

It could be the lower jaw and we're seeing it upside down??

I also like collecting skulls...although some people think they're a bit gruesome for some reason :0)LOL
I often come back from holiday with something I've found....

Oh, my goodness, Marilyn...I do believe you've found a rare baby dragon foot bone! I imagine the egg from which it hatched was brilliantly colored with streaks of sparkle! While it seems a bit tragic for a dragon to go through life missing a foot, the dragon knows that the enchanted one who discovers it will use it in ways that bring beauty and magic to the world!

Yes!! I believe you are right!
But of course! It IS a baby dragon and I do accept my destiny!
How wise you are!! LOL

Why does it have to be a land animal? Could it be something from the ocean? Even it you fould it inland it could have been taken from the sea and left there after it was eaten? Very interesting?
