Joyful return....

One of the great blessings about being able to live between two beautiful places in the world is that by being away for a few months, my eyes are clear and bright to soak in the beauty everywhere.
It is easy to be grateful.

We returned to cold temperatures in Northern California and rainy days, but there is the great joy of opening the front door of our little cottage....of meeting friends for coffee and pastries.....of the flowers tickling Spring's fancy....and of course....there are the smiles of my grand children. Ahhhhh......Blessings Abound.

Now there are three......

I've finished my third little Minkskey.
I love the way the way the skull makes a perfect little dress with a yoke and a little flip at the bottom of the dress.

This little pixie has wings made from jaw bones....legs are little bones and the arms are part of the skull.

New Minkskey....

And now there are two.....little pixies.
Mink bone skull is the torso and arms...some sort of bones make up the two legs and the wings of this one are made from jaw bones.
I think the little mink would be pleased to see the transformation..... :)

I have the third one almost finished.
Soon there will be three little Minkskeys.

From Mink bones to Minkskeys....

You know how it is when you're in the "zone" the flow of inspiration...and you are so enjoying the reveal of a new piece....

That's how today went for me.
I just love this little creature who I call a Minkskey!
I can't wait to create more...a whole clan!

I might offer her for sale through Etsy...but I'm not sure I can let her go. :)

The torso is a skull.....the arms, legs and wings are all bones.
Transformation from animal to pixie. Life continues.....form just changes.
